About Me

Hi! I'm Gaurav Sharma, a full-stack developer based in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, building real-time web and mobile applications.

I love taking ideas and turning them into real, deployable projects — from a CRDT-based collaborative text editor built from scratch, to a full real-time social platform with chat and WebRTC audio/video calling across web and React Native, to a random-video-chat app running in production.

What drives me is shipping things that actually run in the real world, one feature at a time, while going deep on how the underlying systems work. I'm currently freelancing while growing a portfolio of deployed, production-grade projects.

React React Native Node.js Socket.IO WebRTC MongoDB Firebase FCM AWS EC2

A production-grade real-time messaging platform with chat and audio/video calling, shipped as both a React/Vite web app and a React Native mobile app. Includes WebRTC calling with camera flip/toggle, FCM push notifications, JWT-authenticated sockets, and soft-delete messaging. Iterated from an original EJS monolith into a modern React architecture, deployed on AWS EC2 with Nginx.

📝 Doc-X — Collaborative Text Editor

Node.js Express WebSocket CRDT MongoDB JavaScript

A realtime collaborative text editor built from scratch with a custom CRDT (Lamport clocks + linked-list character ordering) over a WebSocket backend. Supports multi-document editing, MongoDB persistence, auto-reconnect with exponential backoff, and an offline operation queue that flushes on reconnect. Being hardened into a production-grade project one feature at a time.

🎥 Connect-X — Random Video Chat

JavaScript Node.js WebRTC AWS EC2

A random video/text chat app deployed in production. Resolved ICE candidate race conditions and mirrored-video bugs, set up SEO, and worked through a domain-reputation issue on the FreeDNS parent zone.
